IoT and Sustainability

IoT (Internet of Things) and sustainability

IoT-related sustainability refers to the use of Internet-connected devices that can help reduce waste by promoting energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

For example, loT can be used to monitor and control energy and water consumption in individual flats or entire buildings, reducing waste and promoting more sustainable behaviour.

In addition, loT devices can be used to manage and optimise resources such as water and energy. Moisture sensors can be used to monitor soil moisture levels and provide useful information for crop irrigation management. Or report water levels in reservoirs (so IoT is useful in various fields, not just housing).

Technology can help to combine our well-being with respect for the environment and the entire ecosystem.
